Scheduling & Earned Value
6 min read
- Forward pass: ES of an activity = largest EF of its predecessors; EF = ES + duration.
- Backward pass: LF = smallest LS of its successors; LS = LF − duration.
- Total float = LS − ES. The critical path is the chain with zero total float, and it is the longest path through the network.
Worked: a status report
BAC = $500k, PV = $200k, EV = $180k, AC = $210k. CV = −$30k, SV = −$20k, CPI = 0.86, SPI = 0.90: over budget and behind schedule. EAC = 500/0.857 = $583k.
